Joy and Bobby devoted decades to scouting. They started Cub Scout Pack 608 and taught others the joy of scoutng thru leadership training. They enjoyed roller skating and square dancing with Joy designing and sewing her own outfits. An avid reader she had an extensive library. Joy was an accomplished artist. She sketched, painted, sculpted, created jewelry and ceramics. But her passion was dolls. She not only collected them but made porcelain remembrance dolls under her trade name Joy-Mar. Many outfits for her dolls were sewn or croched by daughter Sherry.
Joy loved all of God's creatures, and adopted many. Cats, dogs, birds, fish, even a wandering tortoise 'Harold',a blind, lame duck 'Crackles' and a wild mustang 'Missy'.
Joy touched many lives and will very much be missed. We love you Mama, go dance with Daddy.
