Judi died on Sunday March 24th of Alzheimer’s disease at age 75. She was surrounded by her family. Judi was born on December 6, 1943 in Portland Oregon. She was raised in Portland, with her parents and two sisters, graduating from David Douglas High School, class of 1961. After graduating from Oregon State University, she lived most of her adult life in Portland, raising her family on Mount Tabor, before moving to the Clackamas area with her second husband Chuck.
Judi worked for 30 years as an elementary school teacher at Pleasant Valley School teaching 6th, 7th, 8th and her favorite 3rd grade. During this time, she received a masters in Asian Studies from Portland State University and attended a summer quarter abroad in China in 1987.
Judi was an avid traveler, has traveled the world, including marrying her husband Chuck at Angel Falls, Venezuela.
For most of her early adult life, she amassed an antique doll collection. She loved dogs, played the piano, and dabbled in family genealogy. Later in life Judi's interests pivoted to quilting and scrapbooking as a way to help preserve and continue family history.
Judi is survived by her husband of almost 25 years, Charles (Chuck); her sister, Cyndi; her children, Paige (Clay), Erica (Mario), Aunt Beverly, Nephew Chad, Nieces Rachel and Nicole and Granddaughters Sinclaire, Jayda, and Makenna. Judi was preceded in death by her parents Randolph and Edna Pratt and sister Teresa (Teri).
Her celebration of life will be held on Sunday April 14th at 2pm at Lincoln Memorial.
