Judith Carol Warnock was born to Lawrence and Martha Payne in Humboldt, Kansas on November 21, 1938. She has one sibling, an older brother Larry. The Payne family moved to Yakima in 1940 to pick apples, then Pendleton and finally settling in Milton Freewater. Judy graduated from Pendleton High School in 1956 then went on to attended the University of Oregon where her studies of the musical education program continued her love of singing and music.
She married Chester Warnock on October 30,1960 in Pendleton. After having a son and daughter, they moved to Beaverton to raise their family. For years the Warnock's attended the Church of the Nazarene. It was there she took the congregations breathe away with her remarkable voice. Along with singing, she also enjoyed painting and gardening.
After working at Good Samaritan Hospital for 10 years, she retired to enjoy her grandsons. Judy passed away at her home in Tigard, Oregon on October 25th, 2012; and is survived by her mother Martha, brother Larry, son Rob and wife Angela, her daughter Kari and husband Don Conner, as well as her four grandsons, Brian, Kyle, Steven and Jason.
