God looked around His garden
And He found an empty space.
He then looked down upon this earth
And saw your tired face.
He put His arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best.
God knew you were in pain and a cure
was not to be,
He closed your weary eyelids and
Whispered come to me.
With tearful eyes we watched you,
And saw you slip away,
though we loved you dearly we knew,
You could not stay.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone,
part of us went with you that day
God called you home.
