Katharine Anne Maudlin

Kae Maudlin was born on September 13, 1932 to Charles and Gladys Keegan in Bend Oregon. She passed away in Portland. Kae grew up in the Ashwood area and graduated from high school in The Dalles. In 1950, she graduated from Marylhurst College with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She later went to Portland State University where she graduated in 1972 with a Master of Science.

She was married to Kenneth J. Maudlin on October 22, 1955. After moving to NE Portland, the couple bought a house in 1964 where Kae still lived. Kae was a longtime teacher for Portland Public Schools and later joined Ken on the road, as he was a long-haul trucker and bus driver.

Katharine was very involved in swimming and through this hobby, met a lot of friends. Another passion of hers was dogs. She adored her dachshund, Hans. She also enjoyed reading and ham radios. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, Gresham Elks, Oregon Humane Society and she as involved in the Silver & Fit program.

She is survived by her nephews: Jim (Kathy) Keegan, Charles Keegan and John (Lorry) Keegan and her niece Carol (Pat) Brock.
