Born and raised in Portland, Katherine devoted her life to helping others. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, she provided decades of compassionate care and support to individuals and families navigating life’s most difficult challenges. Her calming presence, deep empathy, and unwavering commitment to the well-being of others left an indelible mark on countless lives.
Katherine was also a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a trusted friend. She lived with grace, humility, and a gentle strength that uplifted everyone fortunate enough to know her. Whether through her professional work or in her personal life, she offered comfort, understanding, and kindness without hesitation.
She will be remembered not only for the lives she helped heal but also for the love she shared with her family and her community.
Services for Katherine Ruth Lyte
A visitation will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Skyline Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4101 NW Skyline Blvd., Portland, OR 97229.
A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM, with a graveside service beginning at 3:00 PM at the same location.
Following the services, friends and family are invited to a sharing of memories and reception from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, also at Skyline Memorial Gardens.
Katherine’s legacy of compassion and care lives on in all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed.
