

Kathleen Anne Dilla, 79, of Portland, passed away on September 29, 2021, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. We’re comforted in the fact that she’s now at peace.
Born Sept. 6, 1942, to Charles Roy and Margaret Anne Albers, Kathy grew up in Portland and graduated from Saint Mary’s High School in 1960. After high school, Kathy attended Holy Names University in Oakland, California. She graduated in 1964 with a bachelor’s degree.
While at Holy Names University, Kathy met her first husband John Finley. They married in 1965 and had two sons, Michael J. Finley of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Robert J. Finley of Portland. John and Kathy later divorced. Kathy met her second husband, William Dilla, in 1984. They married in 1985 and remained married until Bill’s passing in 2018.
After raising her two boys, Kathy began her professional career as a Real Estate Agent and Property Manager, later landing a position as an administrative professional with Beaverton School District #48. She remained with the school district until her retirement in 2003. Kathy was an avid quilter and loved gardening, traveling, spending time with family, playing the piano, and breaking bread / enjoying a bag of Skittles with friends and family.
Kathy is survived by her brothers Thomas and his wife, Anne, and Patrick and his wife Sharon; sons Michael and his wife, Jennifer, and Robert and his wife, Cynthia; step-sons Darren and his wife, Joellen, and Kevin and his wife Joan; step-daughter Tracie and her partner Dave; ten grandsons and granddaughters, seven great grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews with whom she truly enjoyed seeing at annual family reunions in Wind River, Washington.
A private chapel service for the immediate family was held on Friday, October 8, 2021, at Finley Sunset Hills Mortuary and followed by burial at Sunset Hills Memorial Park.
