Kathryn was born in Portland, Oregon to the loving parents of Karl and Anne McDougald. Portland is also where Kathryn was raised. A real webfoot as they say. She went to Jefferson High School and then went on to attend Portland State University.
Kathryn met her future husband at Jefferson High School. They had four children of their own, all boys. For most of her adult life she was a mother, and later worked at Costco for 15 years before she retired. She was a religious woman and attended The First Presbyterian Church.
When she was not spending the day taking care of her children or working, Kathryn enjoyed baking and cooking for her family. Spending time doing arts and crafts like making macrame, canning, food dehydration, and sewing. Later in life she enjoyed working in her expansive yard and spending time with her grandchild in their favorite pool.
Most will remember Kathryn and how much she loved helping others.
Kathryn is preceded in death by her husband Robert and son Craig, and is survived by her sons Rob, Jeff, and Steve, her grandson Chris, Her Brother Karl, and sisters Joan and Karlann.
