Laurence (Larry) Barrett 71 finished well, passing peacefully on Sept 6, 2015 in Cornelius, OR He left us with a beautiful smile ,as he was ushered into heaven, clothed in his garland of grace, and embraced by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was born on May 14, 1944 in Moline, Illinois to parents Lyle and Leona Barrett. Throughout Larry’s life he was a kind and caring person- always ready to smile and laugh with the people around him. Larry volunteered in his community with the help of Quiet Waters Outreach. He was charming and charismatic, making friends instantly everywhere he went. His spirit is a bright light that will continue to shine in the lives of everyone he touched. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday September 20, 2015 at 10am at Finley Sunset Hills Mortuary in Portland, Oregon. Larry will be laid to rest in East Moline, Illinois alongside his parents. He is survived by his brother and sister in law Bernard and Diana Barrett; sister in law Joyce Barrett, and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many beloved friends.
