Larry passed away September 15, 2019 of esophageal cancer. He was the baby of the family and was predeceased by his 12 siblings.
His mother died when he was two and his sister Bernadine broke off her engagement and raised Larry as well as the rest of the siblings. Larry attended Blessed Sacrament Grade School, Central Catholic High School and University of Portland. He played semi-pro baseball and his team won the national championship in Battle Creek, Michigan in 1961. He worked for Montgomery Ward from 1961 to its closing in 1983. He began a career in real estate until his retirement in 2001.
He is survived by his wife Nancy and his three sons, Mark (Beth), Darren (Trish) and Collin (Lisa) along with 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Larry was a kind and generous man who loved to coach his children, watch his grandchildren play sports, play golf with his family and watch sports on TV.
Recitation of the Rosary will be at 10:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am on Monday September 23, 2019 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 25 N. Rosa Parks Way, Portland, Oregon.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Holy Redeemer St. Vincent DePaul.
