"He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?" - Micah 6:8 Lawrence E. Jaspers, 85, of Lake Oswego, Oregon, died Monday, January 16th. He leaves his wife, Marilyn of 62 years, four daughters: Cathy Trueb, Christi Piche, Cheryl Jaspers and Laurie Crabtree, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and one brother, Dean Jaspers of West Linn, OR. His parents, Floyd F and Dorothy L Jaspers and younger brother Walter D. preceded him in death. Larry was born on Puget Island, Washington near Cathlamet in 1931. He attended Beaumont elementary and Grant High School. He attended the University of Portland, served in the Coast Guard, and worked as a manager at a heavy equipment company now known as Norlift of Oregon. Larry was an excellent wood worker. He enjoyed the Oregon coast, water skiing, walking and photography. He was a much respected and loved man-- a friend, husband, father and grandfather who will be forever missed.
