Linda Hutchins, age 59, of Portland passed away Thursday, July 11th in Portland. She was born November 27, 1954 in Woonsocket, RI. She was one of five children born to Rosalia and Franklin Ballou. Linda graduated from Woonsocket High School in 1973. After graduation, she managed a chain of Ricotti’s sandwich shops for several years then moved on to work as a manager for Espisito Jewelry Co. in Cranston, RI. In 1980 she took a job with Wrentham State School in Wrentham, MA working with the mentally impaired. In 1988 she was hired as Activity Director for a two hundred and fifty bed nursing home in Harrisville, R.I. In February 2004, Lynne relocated to Portland, OR with her husband David who was transferred there by his employer. In Portland Lynne found employment with Conservation Services Group Inc., a national residential energy conservation company, as a financial coordinator. She worked there until April of 2013 when she left for health reasons. Lynne was first married in 1973 to Paul Joseph Morin of Woonsocket RI. They had a son Paul Jr. They divorced several years later. Linda is survived by her husband of 33 years, David: children, Catelyn and Courtney Hutchins both of Portland, OR: sisters Lorraine Baker of Pascoag, RI and Connie Forcier of Ft. Meyers FL: nephews William, Scott and James Ballou all living in Rhode Island, Robert Forcier of Woonsocket RI, Steven Forcier of Boston MA, and Ronald Charon of Tampa FL. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday July 17, 2014 at Zellers Chapel of Roses, 2107 NE Broadway St., Portland OR 97232.
