Lindy Freeman was born August 23, 1927, in Seminole, Oklahoma to Ora and Joe Freeman. He had two sisters. He lived (for a while) and went to school (briefly) in Alma, Colorado. He and his family later moved to California and eventually to Oregon. In 1944, he joined the Navy at age 17. He saw action in the Pacific and made the landing in Korea. He spent ten (total) years in the military and was honorably discharged as a Petty Officer 1st Class. He retired from Multnomah County after 28 years in assessment and taxation. He is a Past Master of Portland Masonic Lodge #55 and received his 50 year pin two years ago.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Donna; children, Susan and Michael; step-children, Ken, Bob, Terri, and Sharon; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. He will be missed more than he will ever know!
