

Lois died peacefully in her home after a full and wonderful life. She was 94. She will be remembered for her curiosity, love of life, great sense of humor being a wonderful mother, and good friend. She will be missed.
She was born in Portland and raised in Orenco, Oregon. She attended Orenco grade school and graduated from Hillsboro High School with the class of 1941. After High School she graduated from Pacific Business College.
She married Jack D. Oman June 1, 1945 at the Presbyterian Church of Orenco. Together they raised three children until Jack’s death in 1964. During their marriage they owned the Pennywise Drug Store in Hillsboro and when the children were older she went back to work as Secretary Bookkeeper for the Sunset Valley Sanitary District until it was taken over by Washington County. She continued to work for Washington County and became head bookkeeper for their USA Department until her retirement.
She married Merrill A. Meigs March 25, 1971 at the Chapel of the Hills, Clackamas, Oregon. He had three children of his own that joined the family. Merrill died April 23, 1988 leaving her a widow for the second time.
She loved music and played the piano and organ and was an accomplished seamstress. She loved art and painted many paintings that were then given to family and friends.
She is survived by her children Dianne Dyer (Robert Dyer), Dick Oman, Jackie Clark, Merrilee Freeman (Michael Freeman), Janeen Johnston (Harris Johnston), Dwight (Ike) Meigs (Shawna Meigs).
Surviving Grandchildren – Michelle Khoury, Karim Khoury (Deanna Khoury), David Oman, Chris Oman (Lindsey Oman), Bryan Clark (Jessica Clark), Corey Clark, Gregory Clark (Marcella Clark), Theresa Freeman, Sean Freeman, Laura Schuerman (Todd Schuerman), Jennifer Bartocci (Ken Bartocci), Ben Meigs.
Surviving Great Grandchildren – Alyssa Khoury, Jason Khoury, Lindsey Khoury, Ryan Khoury, Coby Clark, Kyle Clark, Ethan Clark, Madeline Clark, Jonathan Clark, Andrea Clark, Emma Schuerman, Austin Schuerman, Sarah Bartocci, Merrin Bartocci, Ben Meigs, Maggie Kelley, Rosemary Reinhardt, and Jack Reinhardt.
Surviving Nieces and Nephews – Dan Baughman, Susan Serley, Dorothy Sackett, Bruce Oman, David Oman, Laurie Oman and Francie Oman.
Survived by her best friend Barbara Cordum.
