Long was the fourth out of five children, born on February 18th, 1938, in Vietnam.
He met and married Phung Nguyen and became a proud father of 4 children: Tuan, Trang, Dung, and Dung.
In 1981, Long gathered his two oldest children, Tuan and Trang, and migrated to the US, settling in Portland, Oregon - in hopes of a better life. He worked multiple jobs and lived in various places with many people. In 1987, he bought his very first and only home. After 9 long years of hard work and dedication, in October of 1990 Long was reunited with his wife and his 2 remaining children, Dung and Dung.
Over the years Long became a grandfather to 8 beautiful grandkids: Tyler, Derek, Ailynn, Vivian, Justin, Justine, Ethan and Melanie. Adding even more love to his life, Long also became a great-grandfather to 3: Anthony, Alina, and Kamila.
Long loved to work in his yard, play poker, and listen to music, but his greatest passion was gathering with his family and enjoying good food. Being in his home surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was what made his heart full.
He was the rock of his family and everyone valued his hard work and perseverance. He will be deeply missed and continue to live on through all of us.
His memory will forever live in our hearts.
