Lori was born in Tillamook, Oregon and raised in Milwaukie, Oregon, where she graduated from Milwaukie High School. After high school, Lori went to work as a Certified Nursing Assistant for Assisted Living and Memory Care facilities throughout the Portland Metro area for over 40 years. She loved her job taking care of the patients but was also happy to retire.
Over the last four years while Lori has been in and out of rehab, she adopted the role of hall monitor—always making sure the CNAs were doing their jobs. At these facilities, Lori also became passionate about Bingo and could win 3 to 4 out of 5 games every time, filling her room with stuffed animals, water bottles, and other prizes. Lori was creative with arts and crafts and had an excellent memory for people, places, and dates.
She was preceded in death by her devoted partner of 32 years, Ronald Winner, as well as her parents and brother, Garth. She is survived by her brother Eric, an aunt, and three cousins.
Lori's graveside memorial service will be Saturday March 7th, 11:00 am at Lincoln Memorial Park and Funeral Home 11801 SE Mt Scott Blvd, Portland, OR 97086 (gate 9). Meet at the main brick building by 10:50 am.
