Lorraine Vanderlinde

Our beloved mother, dearest grandmother, and dear friend has passed away, she will be missed beyond words. Lorraine was born in Portland, Oregon on July 13, 1911 to the late Zola and Ernest Krueger. She lived a long wonderful, beautiful life, full of travel and adventure. Lorraine has traveled all over the world, she has climbed the Great Wall of China, traveled all through Europe, been to the Polynesian Islands several times, she has traveled all over the United States, Canada and Mexico. She once even rode in a hot air balloon over Albuquerque, NM.

One thing about Lorraine, she was always on the go and staying busy, if she wasn't traveling she was dancing. She loved to dance whether she was square dancing with the Rose City Squares, ballroom dancing at Crystal Ballroom or dancing the night away at the Eagles or the Beaverton Elks. If Lorraine wasn't dancing the night away or traveling around the world she was making something. She was an excellent cook, loved to sew, beadwork, canning, baking and gardening. Throughout her 100 years of life, Lorraine has touched many lives, those of us who are here to remember her will think of her when we eat rum balls at Christmas time, think of her when we see Daffodils in the spring, think of her in the summer when we are sitting on a warm sunny beach, or in the fall as the leaves on the trees are changing colors, she will be missed but will live in our hearts forever.

During her life Lorraine was married and widowed to three wonderful men,

A. Denny Vanderlinde 2-22-1947 to 12-22-1988

Lorraine is now laid to rest next to her late husband Henry (Hank) Wagner, here they will be together forever and continue to dance the nights away. Willamette National Cemetery, Section C #1625.

She is survived by her two daughter's Geraldine Hendricks, Bonnie Coyle and her son Steven Vanderlinde

Grandchildren: Chris, Teresa, Kurt, Danny, Bill and Loren

Great-Grandchildren: Melissa, Sara, William, Cody
