

LuElla Mae Butler was born in Berkeley, California to parents Julius and Amy (Babb) Fehrmann on May 15th, 1927. Luella was one of nine children. She married James Edward Butler on February 27th, 1946, in Oakland, California. Shortly after they were wed, the two relocated to North Portland (Oregon) to start a new chapter in their lives. They remained Oregonians for the rest of their days. LuElla and James had three children: a son, James; and two daughters, Linda and Cheryl. LuElla was a wonderful mother and homemaker and she worked outside of the home as well. Outside her home, she worked for Nabisco for many years and retired in 1988. She was a long time member of the United Pentecostal Church. LuElla’s biggest love throughout her life was reading books. Earlier in life, LuElla enjoyed crocheting and gardening.
LuElla is survived by her daughters Linda Dennis and Cheryl Sanders; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A private celebration will be held to honor LuElla's life and memory. She will be privately laid to rest in Skyline Memorial Gardens.
