It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lupe Flores, who left this world on June 9, 2026, at the age of 76. She was born on December 15, 1949, in Paducah, Texas, and throughout her life she brought warmth, joy, and a vibrant spirit to everyone who knew her.
Lupe married the love of her life, Margil Flores, on November 6, 1970, and together they shared 56 years of marriage. Their life together was filled with devotion, laughter, music, and family — a bond that stood strong for more than five decades and remains a lasting example of true, enduring love.
Lupe was a woman who embraced life with a full heart. She loved playing Bingo, cards, and making trips to the casino, where she found excitement, fun, and plenty of stories to share. She also loved listening to Tejano music and dancing, especially when surrounded by the people she loved most. Family was the center of her world, and her happiest moments were spent with her husband, her children, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren.
She is the beloved mother of four children: Marky Flores (Diana), Anita Mendiola (Derek), Adrian Flores, who preceded her in death in 2019, and Laura Flores (Robert). She was a proud grandmother to Tristin, Justin, Alex, Mandy, Killian, Zach, and Selisa, and a loving great grandmother to Maya, Crue, Carlos, and Isela. Each of them carries her love, her laughter, and her legacy forward.
Lupe’s life was filled with music, movement, and the joy of togetherness. She created a home where everyone felt welcomed and cherished. Her smile could brighten a room, her presence brought comfort, and her love was a steady, guiding force for her family.
A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate her life will be held on June 25, 2026, at 11:30 AM, at Lincoln Memorial Park and Funeral Home, located at 11801 SE Mt. Scott Blvd, Portland, Oregon 97086. A burial service will follow immediately at Willamette National Cemetery.
Lupe will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to live on in the stories shared, the traditions kept, and the love she poured into every generation of her family.
