

Mable Rola Woods-Mayo, lovingly known to many as the heart of her family and the life of every room she entered, was born on September 27, 1949, in Enid, Oklahoma. She peacefully passed away on April 25, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, advocacy, and unwavering strength.
Mable was born to Ada Taylor and Roland William Davis and was raised by her stepfather, Dewey Taylor Sr., who played an integral role in her upbringing. She attended Beech Elementary and Middle School, later continuing her education at Jefferson High School before graduating from Grant High School.
In 1969, Mable married Greg Woods Sr., and from this union they welcomed two children, Kyra Woods and Greg Woods II. In 1973, she welcomed her son, Tyson Frazier. Mable dedicated her professional life to serving others, working as a social worker for the State of Oregon for 21 years. She was a fierce advocate for victims of domestic violence, deeply committed to her clients and loved by her colleagues. Her passion for advocacy even took her to Washington, D.C., where she used her powerful voice to bring awareness and change. Mable was a gifted public speaker, able to connect with and inspire audiences from all walks of life.
While she may not have formally belonged to community organizations, her family fondly considers her an honorary member of Spirit Mountain Casino.
Mable loved sports, especially basketball, enjoyed shooting pool, and enjoyed lottery games. Known for her incredible sense of humor, she loved to laugh and was truly the life of the party. She was also an exceptional cook, bringing people together through food, love, and unforgettable moments.
Above all, Mable will be remembered as a loving grandmother, a supportive sister, an amazing mother, and someone who always found a way to care for others.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Greg Woods (Valerie) and Tyson Frazier; her bonus daughter, Netia Miles; her siblings, Ted Johnson (Gloria), Dewey Taylor II (Sylvia), Thelma Taylor, and Julia Taylor (Marcus); her grandchildren, Levar Howard, Taylor Woods (Jessica), Keondrea Woods, Angela Frazier, Rashan Williams Jr., Anthony Jackson Jr., Tiara Howard, Bishop Woods, Xavier Frazier, and Zamorah Frazier; and her great-grandchildren, Noah Jefferson, Ashani Williams, Amani Williams, Beau Woods, and Malia Woods. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family who loved her dearly.
Mable was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Kyra Woods; her mother, Ada Taylor; her father, Roland William Davis; her stepfather, Dewey Taylor Sr.; and her sister, Pamela Brown.
