No words could ever explain how much my Tio meant to Me  and the many things He did to keep me out of trouble I was always in trouble with the Law my Mom couldn't control me so She let me move in with my Tio Manuel and my Tia Candy they were always good to me my Tio use to paint store windows during the Holidays He was an amazing artist He most definitely is where I got my talent I watched Him for many years do so many amazing things I don't have enough space on this page to place all my precious Memories of my Tio but I can Honestly say He's definitely the reason I am a better Man today I will always miss my Favorite Uncle may your Journey in Heaven cross paths with my Honey and all our Love ones please give them all hugs for Us here on earth Rest In Peridise Tio Love You Johnny Boy

Tia Candy n kids, my deepest condolences on the loss of my Uncle Manny.   Now this is someone we will never forget, Uncle Manny is one of a kind loving, caring, always happy go lucky man!!!    I will miss talking to U every month but I will continue to call Tia Candy!!! Uncle Manny U are now reunited with my Mom Pie, your sis Maggie, brother Ernest, brother Cookie, brother Feliz, brother Augustine, Sis Connie, brother Louie, and last Grandma Concha, your Mom!!! My best memory is my Tio Manuel is him making his voice like Donald Duck and chasing me.  Tio was such a great artist.  He drew me the roadrunner on loony toones.  He was the PERFECT UNCLE.   THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN MY LIFE.  I LOVE YOU FOREVER. ❤️❤️😘😘

Tio ,I love you and you will be missed dearly. Thank you , it is because of you that my dad is the man he is today. You always had a  positive impact in his life. He always spoke very highly of you. I will always remember my uncle has a brilliant Artist. He made me laugh all the time especially when he would tell stories about me.  He will be missed and was so loved by his family. Till we meet again in heaven my precious artistic uncle!

The day I met you papa you gave me a beer and then gave me crap for smoking outside and told me if I dont smoke inside you'll kick my ass. 😂 It took me by surprise, I never thought we would click right off the bat and we did. I'm happy your not in pain anymore. I'll miss your jokes and your smartass comments. Its sad to see you go so soon but I'm happy you came into my life. You'll be missed papa.

TO MY LITTLE BUDDIE,  WE USE EAT PICKLED PIG FEET, TOGETHER WHEN HE CAME OVER ,APPRECIATE ALL THE  TIMES HE WOULD COOK THOSE AWESOME  TACOS FOR MY FAMILY,  I REMEMBER THE TIME I DIDNT  TELL HIM I WAS GOING OUT OF TOWN,  WHEN I CAME BACK,  HE TOLD ME, HE THOUGHT  I WAS IN THE APARTMENT,  AND SOMETHING WAS WRONG,  BECAUSE  THE NEWS PAPPERS WERE STACKING UP,  HE TOLD ME DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN WITH OUT TELLING ME.  THATS  BECAUSE  HE HAD THE BIGGEST,  CARRING HEART , YOU WILL BE TRULY MISSED BUDDIE,  IM CHARON CECIL WIFE,  AND I ALWAYAS CALLED HIM MY BROTHER FROM ANOTHER MOTHER,  THATS BECAUSE  HE HAD THE WARMNEST HEART I FELT WHEN I METE HIM.  WE LOVE AND WILL MISS YOU MANNY,  OUR HEART FELT  CONDOLENCES TO CANDY  AND  CHILDREN,  AND THE FAMILY,

My papa will always be a huge part of my life. I will always remember him. Remember how he would put on "Knock three times" on his record player and dance around with me and my sister, when we were kids. Even how he would sing "Sitting on the dock of the bay" so passionately,  randomly in the kitchen. I will remember how he loved me and gave me candy when I was sad or had a bad day. I will always remember him. I'll miss you Papa....Always 🖤. 

He was an AMAZING GRANDFATHER, to my niece's, they loved and respected him so much.. You will still continue to give your family love, and look after your new grt grandson grayson. 

Manuel Medina Barela passed away at age 69. He was born in Casa Grande, AZ on January 23, of 1952 and passed away in Sherwood, Oregon on July 11, of 2021. He was married to Maria Barela for almost 50 years. They had three kids Manuel Dean, Jamie, and Kimberly. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Marines. Manuel worked as a commercial artist for almost 30 years bringing joy to many who watched him paint holiday scenes and wishes on the windows of Pizza places and such.  His wife Maria was the love of his life and was with him until the very last moment. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Maria; his son, Manuel Dean; daughter-in law Julie; daughter, Jamie; daughter Kimberly; son-in-law, Johnathan; his grandchildren Sierra, Taylor, Isabella, Dakota,  Aireanna, Andrew, and Kincaid; his siblings, Bobbie, Lucy, Elizabeth, and Dominga; many nieces and nephews, and many people who loved him. He had an infectious, giving and loving nature that always made people laugh.  His presence will be greatly missed and he will be forever in our hearts!
