Margaret E. “Tod” Hamilton, a retired home economist, died June 06, 2018 at the age of 95 of natural causes.
Ms. Hamilton was born June 17, 1922 in Seattle, Washington. A Portland resident for over 90 years, she graduated from Washington High School, received a home economics degree from Oregon State University, and a Master’s degree in home economics education from Columbia University Teachers College in New York. She served as a professional home economist for the Oregon Dairy Council for 10 years, then was employed as Oregon State University Extension home economist in Clackamas and Multnomah counties for 28 years. Ms. Hamilton retired in 1984.
Survivors include her nieces and nephew, Kathleen Kirk, of Arkansas; Gail Koelling of Texas; and Blair Hamilton of Texas; and three grandnieces and their families.
