Marilyn dedicated her life to learning and to the nurturing of young minds. After earning her bachelor’s degree, she became an elementary school teacher, a profession she embraced with patience, kindness, and deep commitment. She found great joy in helping children discover the world around them and took pride in shaping generations of students with encouragement and care.
She was the beloved wife of the late Woodrow Brock, with whom she shared a life of partnership and devotion. Together they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and steadfast love.
Outside of her career, Marilyn had a passion for travel and gardening. She delighted in exploring new places, embracing different cultures, and collecting memories from her journeys. At home, her garden was her sanctuary—a place where she lovingly tended flowers and plants, creating beauty that reflected her gentle spirit.
Marilyn will be remembered for her gracious heart, her dedication to education, and the quiet strength with which she lived her life. Her kindness and wisdom will continue to bloom in the lives of all who knew her.
A placement service will be held on February 27, 2026, at Skyline Memorial Gardens in Portland.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
