Marilyn was a carpenter for many years, and even in retirement kept herself busy with many projects. From carpentry, sewing, cooking, and gardening, she was always creating something new. She loved building with her hands. She was a mom to all who needed one, and you'd better be ready for the incoming hug at first meeting. Her genuine love for others, along with her generosity and compassion, made her one-in-a-million. She had a strong faith in God, which carried her through the trials of life. She was an extraordinary blessing to this world.
Marilyn was predeceased by her sisters, Stephanie and Elizabeth; and her sons, Johnny, David Scott, and Rodney.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Dale Jacobsen; her sister, Carol Thomas; her children, Allen Schmitz, Donna McLarty, Cecil Schmitz, Melody Ashford, and Julie Lord. She was also blessed with 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
