

Marilyn Yvonne Jaimes-Butterworth born onto earth 10/31/1959 and went to heaven 7/06/2023 She was Born in Hawthorne, CA and lived in Portland OR since 1972. She graduated in 1977 from Aloha High school. She had 6 children, 3 boys and 3 girls who she cherished with all of her heart.
Marilyn went to college and continued education throughout her life. She was bilingual and fluent in Spanish. She worked for Kaiser for over 20 years and had been a Union Stewart the entire time and all of her co workings adored her. She was a member of NA and had over 34 years of sobriety. She was a long-time member of the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS whom she cherished all the members from the church. She worked hard and loved working on her family History as well and helping other members with theirs. She became a grandmother to 11 grandkids starting in 1998 and she was so very proud of having a big family like she always wanted. She loved any kind of celebration like holidays, birthdays, BBQ’s and family get togethers. She had many close friendships with people because she was so loving, kind, and a joy to be around. She loved animals and had many over the years like horses, cats, dogs, birds, and fish to name a few. She had the greatest sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. She had many hobbies like cooking, crocheting, swimming, fishing, reading, coloring, beading, watching movies, traveling, camping, and playing games on her phone. She strived to be successful in everything she did. She always wanted to own her own home and she was so proud to have met that goal. Her accomplishments can be measured in family and the impact she had on those around her.
Preceded in death by her father James Butterworth, and her son Brom Jensen
Survived by her mother Sylvia Jensen, her brother Don Butterworth, her brother Dale Butterworth, her daughters Melissa Cedillo, Margaret Cedillo, Melinda Jaimes, her sons Alberto Jaimes, and Benedicto Gomez. Her 11 grandchildren, Derek Cooley, Kyla Chiasson, Dameon Huffman, Sylvia Chiasson, Lydea Cedillo-Harding, Brenna Chiasson, Cassia Cedillo-Harding, Stella Cedillo-Harding, Emma Cedillo-Harding, Mia Cedillo-Harding, and Kenai Jaimes. Along with a close-knit group of friends
Marilyn was such a powerful light to this world, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. We will always carry her memory in our hearts forever and always.
