

Marilyn Ann Ness passed away on September 7, 2026, at the age of 74, surrounded by family. She was born on June 10, 1952, to Marie and Earl Ness. Marilyn was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, and attended James Monroe High School, graduating with the Class of 1970.
Marilyn was a selfless, loving, and caring woman who cherished her family and pets deeply. She had a creative spirit and loved being crafty. Over the years, she enjoyed ceramics, stained glass, painting, and many other creative projects. Her creativity was just one of the many ways she brought beauty and warmth into the lives of those around her.
Above all, Marilyn was devoted to her family. She will be remembered for her loving heart, her caring nature, and the countless ways she put the needs of others before her own. Her family will forever treasure the memories they shared with her and the love she gave so freely.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Jessica Pannell, and son-in-law, David Pannell; her grandchildren, Tyler Pannell and Hope Maki; and her great-grandchildren, Savannah, Jaxton, and Cooper.
Marilyn will be placed at Lincoln Memorial Park in Portland, Oregon, in a private family gathering at the graveside.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
