Marjorie was born in Kenmare, North Dakota to Lydia and Ralph Leppert. She had an exciting childhood and was very successful in school. She played in the Kenmare High School band and was also the Band Majorette. Marjorie also had her own column in the Kenmare News entitled Marj’s Memos. After High School, Marjorie attended college in Minot, North Dakota. She moved with her family to Portland to work in the war industry as an electrician. Bob Nordling, a long time boy friend, preceded her to Oregon, and then she joined him. They were married in l943. For over 35 years Marj was a payroll clerk for Consolidated Freightways. She and Bob loved to travel and spent a great amount of time in Maui, Hawaii. They retired to Green Valley, Arizona where they lived for several years. Marjorie’s love and devotion to Bob was obvious as she cared for him for several years.
Marjorie is survived by her brother, Arnie Leppert, and his wife Claudia, Portland; a nephew, Ron Leppert and his wife Sigrid, Eugene; two nieces Kristin Leppert, Portland, and Karen Gibson, Roswell, Ga, and two great nieces Kaelyn Gibson, attending the U. of Tennessee, and Lindsay Gibson, Roswell, GA. Marjorie got her wish to go home to be with her husband Bob who proceeded her in death. Farewell, and God Bless you!
Services will be held Saturday, October 8 at the Skyline Memorial Gardens at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Faith Café at www.faithcafeor.org. She was a faithful contributor to Faith Café.
