

Mary Ann Daniels, 93, of Portland, Oregon, passed away June 6, 2017. She was born in Saint Joseph, Missouri on October 6, 1923 to Thomas and Pauline Emmett. She grew up in the Hollywood, California area and frequently helped her mother in the food serving industry, where she was able to meet and befriend many celebrities such as Larry, Curly and Moe of the Three Stooges. Mary Ann graduated from Hollywood High School in the early 1940’s and also received a certification in General Business shortly after. She was married to Donald Daniels in 1946. She had a career in Human Resources for insurance companies and was a member of the Rose City Presbyterian Church. Mary Ann is predeceased by her husband Donald and brother Ray. She is survived by her children, Tom (Claire) Daniels and Donna (Cecil) Washington; grandchildren Sean, Patrick, Maria and Carla; several great grandchildren; and siblings Robert and Judy. Viewing will be held at Ross Hollywood Chapel on June 12th and June 13th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. A celebration of life will be held on June 14th at 11:00 am with a reception to follow. Mary Ann will be laid to rest with her husband, Don, at Willamette National Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to The Red Cross.
