Mary Edna Boyd, age 93, of Portland Oregon passed away peacefully on September 4, 2022, with family by her side. She was born Mary Edna Harmon on May 24, 1929, to Charles William & Nettie Lou Harmon in Strathmore, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Nettie Harmon, siblings Chester Harmon, Junior Harmon, Jerry Harmon, Rhoda Miller, and Lou Kulm. Her loving husband of many years and father of her children, Herman Leroy Shum, and her Stepdaughter, Judy Fuller.
She is survived by her two sisters, Patty Mitchell and Donna Landreth-Phillips, her three children Nancy Shum, Marvin (Leslie) Shum and William (Janet) Shum, and her Stepson Bob Shum.
Mary was a warm caring person and will be missed by her family and friends. RIP
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services - Gateway Chapel of Chimes 1515 NE 106th Ave, Portland, OR. 97220. The funeral home is located at 106th & Halsey.
