She married Forrest Dale Hutchinson on August 19, 1933 and they were happily married for over 66 years until he preceded her in death in 2000. Their journey together took them throughout various areas of Oregon until settling in 1947 in the Milwaukie area to raise their family.

She has 4 grandchildren, Paula Ransom of Roy, WA; Michael Kammerzell of Kalispell, MT; Douglas Naylor of Villa Park, CA; and Karen Zimmerman of Mission Viejo, CA. She has 9 great grandchildren and 3 great great granddaughters.
She touched many young lives during her career as a teacher’s aide in the Milwaukie school district. Her greatest joy was encouraging others to do their very best. She especially enjoyed being with her family; whether it was camping, cheering on grandchildren in their events or counting her blessings. She also enjoyed sewing, painting still life and crocheting blankets for the wounded veterans. She will always be a beacon of love, courage and strength to all who knew and loved her. Her journey will be honored at Lincoln Memorial Park in Portland on Saturday, Jan. 19th, 2013 at 10 am.
