

Mary V. Kline, age 89, of Mount Angel, OR, passed away on March 17, 2022. Mary was born in Hugo, OK on January 9,1933 to Dolan and Lillie Vaught. Mary grew up in Longview, WA and graduated at Kelso High School.
She worked at the Hanford Project plutonium production site in Washington State, then later worked for Yakima Testing Laboratory. She lived in Yakima, WA for most of her adult life.
Mary went back to college in 1976 at the age of 43 and became a respiratory therapist. She loved her work and had a true heart of caring for people. It was during this time that she met and married the love of her life, Edwin Kline, on August 31, 1989. Together they enjoyed happy years until his death in 2009.
Mary was a member of United Israel World Union. Torah study was an important and meaningful part of her life.
Mary was a joyful, positive and caring person with an energetic spirit. She was very dedicated to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary loved walking, cross country skiing, and going to the beach. She was a cake decorator and did many wedding cakes for family and friends. She was creative in the kitchen and studied interior design.
She was survived by her brothers Tom Vaught and David James, her children Christine J. Mazulo, Karla S. Grady and James Alan Duncan, and her 9 grandchildren and her 12 great grandchildren.
Her strength and loving heart will be remembered and cherished by her family. She will be greatly missed by the many friends she made.
