Matthew Sheldon Scott
July 11, 1974 – February 6, 2014
A charming soul, a ready and delightful wit, the kindest of hearts hiding behind a sly and impish grin – this was Matthew Sheldon Scott. Born to Sheldon Scott and Mary Katsilometes-Scott on July 11, 1974 in Pocatello, Idaho, Matthew would go about the business of carving a most distinctive niche in the hearts of friends, relatives, and associates for nearly 40 years.
After completing high school in Pocatello, Matthew back to Portland to live. Eventually, he would work extensively as a professional personnel manager. In recent years, he began his own business in Private Investigation, an undertaking that he enjoyed immensely and at which his myriad talents for interpersonal work and management blossomed anew.
Through all of his life, Matthew’s prime devotion was to his wife and children. In that, he leaves a magnificent heritage of care, dedication, and compassion that will live on in their hearts and lives forever. He will be sorely missed. Benedicas eum, Carissime Domine, nunc et semper.
Matthew leaves behind the love of his life his wife Stacie Buchanan-Scott, three children – Thomas, Kaylee, and Abigail – his father Sheldon Scott, his mother Mary Katsilometes-Reinbold, step-father Michael Reinbold, brothers Peter, Justin, Benjamin, and Ryan, sisters Jenna, Megan, Aimee, and Brenda, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
