He was born to Walter and Ruby Coxeff on October 6, 1957, in Portland, OR. After graduating from John Adams High school in 1975, Maurice swore to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army. He valued his service highly and attained the rank of Sergeant. After serving for 8 years, he went on to retire from Frito-Lay where he dedicated 20+ years.
Maurice was a comedian, he kept people rolling in laughter because he could find humor in the most mundane life circumstances.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Walter and Ruby Coxeff, his two sisters Virgie Wright, Phyllis Johnson, brother James Hill, and brother-in-law Claude Thomas.
He leaves to cherish all his loving memories to his five sisters: Marian Hill (CA), Cynthia Thomas (WA), Cecelia Moore (WA), Joyce Coxeff (OR) and Angela Moore (CA). His five children: Chris Miller (OR), Maurice Coxeff Jr. (CA), Chona Jefferson (Brandon)(MI), Enos Smith (Ashly) WA), and Stepdaughter Collette Newman (OR). He is also survived by eleven beautiful grandchildren and a multitude of nieces, nephews, relatives, and loving friends.
