Maya Lucy Pierce-Smith

It is with profound sadness, we announce the passing of Maya Pierce-Smith on June 21, 2026 at the age of 21. Maya was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, dog mom, friend, and girlfriend. She was cherished by everyone who knew her silliness, kindness, strength, and unconditional love for her family.

Maya was born on February 5, 2005 in Gresham, Oregon and was adopted by parents Luke Smith and Melissa Pierce. She graduated from Jefferson high school in 2023. During her senior year, she started at Emler Swim School where she has worked since. Maya loved her job and was great at it. In May, she was promoted and was excited to grow in her career which was marked by dedication and a love for children. She was always known to put others before herself.

Maya loved doing her makeup, nails, and shopping with her big sister. She loved her dogs and being an auntie to little Zoey was something she was most proud of. Maya always made sure Zoey had the best toys, the cutest outfits, and the most yummy snacks.

She would want to be remembered by her witty personality, but also her calmness and compassionate heart. Her warmth and loving spirit will live on in the memories of those who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at Skyline Memorial Gardens, and Funeral Home on July 2, 2026 at 12pm. All are welcome to pay their respects and celebrate her life. Maya’s favorite color was pink. Her family asks that people who attend, incorporate pink into their attire.
