Maynard Francis Burkett, age 92, of Portland, Oregon passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020. Maynard was born October 16, 1928 in Newberg, Oregon to parents Lawrence Burkett and Myrtle Ott. After serving his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, he worked as a union carpenter for forty years. Maynard built his own house in his spare time while he was an apprentice carpenter. He was devoted to his family as well as his dogs. Maynard is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his children, Brian Burkett, Karla Parrish, and Rodney Burkett. In lieu of flowers, donations in Maynard's name may be made to the Oregon Humane Society.
