I met Michele in 1977. We were just leaving a church service and she had a baby in a stroller - it was Rachel. We struck up a conversation, finding out we were both North Portland girls and my baby, Jon, was only six weeks younger than her daughter. This was the beginning of many long phone conversations, park play dates, and church activities together. It was difficult for me to make friends, but she filled a hole in my heart that I didn’t know I had. Our lives got busy, but she always included me in the important events in her life, and we prayed for each other and our families. There’s a saying that you can be away from a friend for a long time, but when you do meet, you just pick up your friendship when you left off - that’s how it was for me with Michele. We last met on 11/2/2020, in my backyard, masked, and carefully distanced. It physically hurt that we couldn’t hug, but we had a long conversation until dark. I will always treasure that.

I have lovely memories of spending time with Michele during women's ministry events as well as round tabling ideas on how to put on successful car shows. Her friendship will be missed while I remain here on Earth, but I do look forward to worshiping our Lord and Savior with her in Heaven!

Brother Kevin, know Rick and I are here for you in any capacity you may need.

I want everyone to know Michele was one of the most beautiful women you could ever know. She had a heart of gold and never nothing bad to say about anything or anyone. I meant Michele through Kevin her husband. We first was introduced when they moved to Estacada and had some baby skunks under their barn and I came to rescue them. I love you my friend and never good by it’s until we see each other again..
