

Mike Barsoum Hanna, 60, of Gresham, Oregon, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2011 in Portland. He was born on October 1, 1951 in Fayoum, Egypt to parents Barsoum Khalil Hanna and Martha Hanna Saad. He was born and raised in Egypt until he moved to the U.S. in 1978 and lived in Southern Californina until 1993. He then moved to Seattle, Washington and finally settled in Gresham in 1997.
Mike earned his Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in Egypt, and served in the Egyptian military. He was married on November 11, 1982 to his wife Eva Ezzat. He worked as an Electrical Engineer, a machinist, and an Operational Manager in the Fuel Industry. Mike was Baptized and raised in the Coptic Orthodox Church. He enjoyed spending time with family and close friends, listening to music, and joking with anyone who needed a good laugh or smile.
Mike is survived by his wife, Eva, and his sons Andrew and Mark Hanna.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 11:00am at St. George Orthodox Church in Portland. Burial will follow at 1:00pm at Lincoln Memorial Park.
