Mirth and Clarence treasured their family.
Mirth had a great love for children and taught Sunday school at the various churches she attended. She most recently attended Smith Memorial Presbyterian Church where she also sang in the choir for many years.
From 1968 to 1988, Mirth worked at US Bank. When she retired in 1988, she and Clarence purchased a motor home and traveled the United States for about five years. They especially loved visiting historical sites.
Mirth loved to crochet. She made baby blankets, hats, sweaters and booties for many children. She also crocheted Christmas ornaments for her family every year for many years. She also liked to spend time working in her garden. She had beautiful peonies, roses, trilliums and a prolific vegetable garden.
Mirth and Clarence enjoyed doing the crossword puzzle in the Oregonian every day. After his death, she continued to do them for quite some time.
Mirth was dearly loved and also often teased by her boisterous family. Her family will miss her greatly, but we know that she is, even now, enjoying the glories of heaven and her Savior, Jesus Christ
