With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Myung Chul Shin on March 9, 2025, far too soon. Born on January 5, 1971, in South Korea to Hyun Young Shin and Kyung Hae Min, Myung’s journey took him across continents, shaping him into the warm, compassionate, and family-oriented man he became.
During his early years, Myung’s family relocated to Paraguay, where he spent several formative years and graduated from high school. His ability to adapt, connect, and thrive shone through when his family made their final move to the United States, where Myung quickly found success, built strong friendships, and made a life he deeply cherished.
A personable, intelligent, and hardworking individual, Myung established a rewarding career in telecommunications, where his dedication and charisma made him not only a valued professional but also a trusted colleague and friend.
In his thirties, fate brought him together with the love of his life, Song Mi Cho. Their love was profound and unwavering, and together they built a beautiful life. Their greatest joy came with the birth of their son, Roy, who completed their family and filled their hearts with boundless love and happiness. Myung treasured every moment with his wife and son—whether it was taking family walks with their beloved dog or sharing meals at their favorite Korean restaurants, he embraced every experience with gratitude and joy.
Myung shared an unbreakable bond with his brother, Seung "John" Shin—a connection built on unconditional love and unwavering support, one that transcended distance and time. Their relationship was a testament to the power of brotherhood and family.
A loving husband, devoted father, caring brother, and loyal friend, Myung was a man of kindness, integrity, and generosity. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family, ensuring they were always supported, protected, and loved. His gentle spirit, warm heart, and unwavering dedication to those he held dear will never be forgotten.
Myung leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Though his absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, his spirit will remain with us, guiding and comforting those he loved.
