Nancy was born on October 28th 1927 in Jasper Arkansas. She lived in Red Rock and Marianna Arkansas, where her father was a sawyer who owned a portable sawmill in the lumber industry.
She moved to the Bay area of California in the late 40's, following her sister and brother, where she then worked for the telephone company. She was introduced to Fred Allen when she went on a double date with Harold & Edna Clark. Fred & Nancy were marring on March 19th 1950. In December 1951, their son Mark was born.
Fred was a sales rep for Standard Tool Company. They moved to Portland Oregon in the early 50's when he was transferred there. They lived in 5 places, all in the NE Portland area, during their lifetime.
Nancy worked as a housewife, a sales clerk & assisted Fred with his industrial supply distributorship, Tool & Gage Associates, that we founded & owned for over 20 years.
Her activities included golfing, bowling, walking & many yearly trips with her husband to California to visit her sister & brothers families, as well as their best friends, Hal & Edna Clark.
In September 2017, Nancy fell and broke her hip. After which she developed dementia to the point that she required 24 hour care in a memory facility. After another fall in April, resulting in broken bones proved too much for her to recover, she went to her peace with the Lord.
She is preceded in death by her husband Fred & her brothers Oscar Thomas, James C Cooper, Albert T Cooper Jr, Roy W Cooper & her sisters Annis J Bickner, Jewel Cooper & Norma L Rowton.
She is survived by her son Mark Allen, daughter in law Lori Allen, Grandson Scott Allen & Grandson Jeff Allen (Spouse Pauline) great grandchildren Evan & Olivia & her brother Charles K Cooper (Spouse Sandy)
