Nancy Cook Goetze
February 13, 1927 – February 14, 2021
Nancy Cook Goetze passed away peacefully one day after her 94th birthday.
Nancy was born and raised in Butte, Montana. She then moved to Eugene, Oregon to attend the University of Oregon. Nancy made a career for herself in the legal field, but really, her full time job was being a wonderful mother.
Nancy was a member of the Multnomah Athletic Club and the Portland Golf Club. She was an outstanding bridge player. Nancy always liked playing cards with the ladies and enjoying an excellent lunch afterwards. It is said she was quite good around the greens.
Nancy loved to travel and was able to visit fifty different countries.
Nancy is survived by her three children Sandi Breuer (Paul), Linda Williams (Ken), and Harry D. Cook II (Carol), three grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Harry and Nancy were best friends throughout their lives together. In the last six years, Harry was her full-time caregiver.
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, there will be a private graveside service. Once restrictions have been lifted a Celebration of Life will be held to honor Nancy.
