Nancy Annette Skelton passed away peacefully on October 22nd. She was 77. Born May 19, 1944 to Elwood and Doris (Meredith) Sims in Spokane, WA. She went on to graduate from Rogers High School and was married to Stephen Skelton in January of 1964.
Most of her career was spent working in banks and volunteering in the community and serving with Meals on Wheels in the Beaverton area.
She enjoyed road trip adventures with Stephen and their kids, Lori (Jim) Ruiz, Todd (Amy) Skelton, and Amanda (Jason) Bittick, many of which would cover hundreds of miles in a weekend.
An avid fabric collector, she also enjoyed quick trips to JoAnn for another yard or two to make clothing or stuffed toys for her kids and grandkids.
Nancy is survived by her children, her 7 grandchildren…Lindsay Hanway, Aaron Ruiz, Sydney Skelton, Grace Skelton, Addison Skelton, Kinley Skelton, and Oliver Bittick and her great Granddaughter, Abby Hanway, as well as her three brothers, Larry (Joann) Sims, Mark (Vicki) Sims, and Jeff Sims. She leaves behind many cousins, nieces, and nephews also.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elwood and Doris, and her husband Stephen with whom she is reunited in glory after 26 years.
