OBITUARY
Nazarene Savage
December 12, 1961 – October 1, 2022

IN THE CARE OF
Ross Hollywood Chapel
Nazarene Savage was born December 12, 1961 in Portland, OR to Georgie Lowery Mays and Albert Savage. She departed this life on Saturday, October 1, 2022 in Portland, OR, six years after suffering a debilitating stroke.
Nazarene was the 12th child in a family of 12 children. She was the mother of two children, Donald Green and Deminika Green and grandmother to four grandchildren, Danasha Green, Izrhie McCauley, Elijah Green and Elise Green, who are left to cherish her memory.
Nazarene graduated Portland’s Lincoln High School following in the footsteps of her brothers, John and Stanley. She was a hard worker throughout her life and held a variety of positions before her health declined. She was a “people person” and enjoyed meeting and greeting customers in any work environment. And she loved to have her nails done!
Nazarene liked music, especially Maze, Aretha Franklin, Anita Baker and Patti LaBelle. She loved chicken – any kind of chicken and cooked it 3-4 times a week! She loved to socialize and talk to people. It seemed like she knew everybody. If she didn’t know them she knew where to go to find out who they were!
Nazarene leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children and grandchildren and her siblings, Willie Ola Jones, George Mays, Lucille Bridgewater, Nathaniel Mays, Ivery Mays Sr., John Mays and Stanley Mays and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Nazrene was preceded in death by her mother, Georgia Mays, her father Albert Savage, and her siblings Hosea Mays, Velma Mays-Davis, Alice Mays-Montgomery, and Albert Savage, Jr.
Nazarene gave special thanks to her brothers and sister for being supportive of her through her illness.
May she now rest in peace.
