She was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on October 2nd, 1922 to Jesse W. And Ida M. Mays. Nellie graduated from Fort Smith High School and began working as a stenographer.
She was married to Himon L. Cradduck on June 30, 1940. Nellie was a wife and homemaker with five children. She did some part-time work with Avon and at J.C. Penney's.
She was a member of Gateway Baptist Church and had a passion for missions. Earlier in her life, she was the pianist at Baptist Evangelical Church in Bellflower, California for many years. She also worked with mission projects there to send supplies and materials to missionaries in the field.
She is survived by her children; Sue Lovejoy, Sara Cradduck, Sybil Kinnick and Stuart Cradduck. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Himon L. Cradduck and her son, Scott Cradduck pre-deceased her.
We will miss mom so much, but take comfort in knowing that she is with her Lord and Savior.
