Nick Curtiss is described by his loved ones as someone who always lit up any room he was in. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a positive outlook seldom seen in most people. He was a ball of energy and a sweet man with the ability to make everyone feel like everything was okay. Nick was everyone’s biggest cheerleader; always showing support and enthusiasm for everyone’s endeavors. When someone had a problem, Nick was always there to offer advice and guidance. Family teases that he offered advice even when you didn't want it. He was a real pitbul, always watching the backs of those he cared for and not afraid to stand up for anyone being treated unjustly.
Nick enjoyed keeping himself busy. With everything he did, he gave it his all whether he was doing something for himself or offering help to a friend or neighbor. One of Nick’s favorite things to do was to browse around Facebook and he greatly enjoyed listening to rock music. A couple of his favorites were: Hemorrhage by Fuel and Crown of Thorns by Mother Love Bone. He was also passionate about cars and even spent a lot of time as a car salesman.
Nick’s life was cut short when he got into an automobile accident resulting in him drowning. Although it was a huge shock to all of those who loved him, his loved ones have many wonderful memories of Nick that they will be able to treasure forever.
He is survived by sons: Christian and Nickolas Nunez and Skyler Gray; daughters: Ashly and Lyla Attebury and Maria Nunez; grandson: Landon Attebury; siblings: Joyce, Marcella and George Curtiss, Marylou Moore, Caren Maneker, and Juliann Lansing; half sister Rita Green; nephew: Eric Bernad and lots of other nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Nick’s family requests that donations be made to the family to help with Nick’s funeral arrangements. For those that wish to contribute, please contact either the family or Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes.
A viewing will be held at Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes from 12-4 on Monday, October 13th followed by a wake, held at his sister Joyce's home.
