
Nicole Lokelani “Beautiful Rose from Heaven” Matz. Mother, daughter, sister and worlds best air guitarist EVER. A bright light in her loved one's lives. Talented with words, she loved to make you laugh. The Sioux Indian tribe have a name for this kind of person. “Heyoka” it means sacred clown, she was ours.
Nicole was a quick-witted, kind, and thoughtful soul and will be remembered by the many lives she touched. We will miss you deeply, but we are happy you are home free and painless.

The funeral service will be held on March 25th, 2023, at 12pm, at LDS Chapel 4030 John Adams Parkway Ammon, ID 83401
Nicole was born on January 17th, 1977, to Douglas and Susan Matz in Portland, Oregon. She graduated Reynolds HS in 1995 and attended Mt. Hood Community College studying Poetics and Writing.
Nicole worked as an advanced dental assistant for many years with her Dad. She loved sharing her soul through poetry, photography, and making videos. As well as pondering the meaning of life on her blog. Very passionate about music she lived her rock star dreams, singing her heart out karaokeing or while listening to music. One of her greatest joys though, was playing with her son Jack. Nicole was also an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She always had a deep faith in God and continually sought to be closer to Him throughout her life. She has now returned to God and the Savior whom she endeavored to follow.
She is survived by her eleven-year-old son, Jack Robert Ka Makana Johnson; parents, Doug and Sue Matz; brothers, Israel, Benjamin, and Jesse; sisters, Bethany and Heidi; plus, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other assorted family and caring friends.
