Play Tribute Movie

Nina was born June 19, 1957 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Jerry and Nancy Leith. She moved to the Bay Area as a small child, where she grew up and attended Terra Linda High School. She was well loved by her peers and formed many lifelong friendships.

Nina possessed an ambition and work ethic like no other, and continued to work hard and provide for her family throughout her entire life. She became a young mother to Angi at 19, and considered motherhood to be the most important job she would ever have. After marriage and 2 more children, Talya and Briana, she relocated to Portland, Oregon where she spent the next 22 years raising her beautiful daughters, excelling in her career, decorating a stunning home, nurturing many wonderful friendships, and enjoying a glass of wine in her lovely garden.

Nina is known for her amazing creativity, her quick wit, her positive outlook, her strength and determination, her giving nature, her gorgeous smile, her remarkable fashion sense, and her ability to make anyone feel like they were her best friend. She was always happiest in her garden, at the beach, and in the company of those she loved. She left her sparkle wherever she went, and those who knew her won't ever forget the impact she made on them.

Nina passed peacefully in her home on February 17, 2018 surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her mother, Nancy; her brother, Campbell; her sister, Jennifer; her daughters, Angi, Talya, and Briana; and her grandson, Frankie.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you treat yourself to a pedicure. She would have wanted that.

To Angi, Tal and Bri...

I love you all..and through tears I write this ... I know how much you girls meant to your Mom, she would write me after Daylons passing and she always spoke of you 3...she was so supportive of anything you did.
Your Mom meant the world to everyone she met, even for only a moment. She touched us all with her ability, like you said, to make you feel like you were her best friend. I know Daylon also loved her like a mother and she loved him. She is his Mother in heaven now....and he is her Son.
I think of you all daily and Saturday will be very tough, but I am sure very beautiful. Wish I could be there...I will be there in spirit. Your Mom will be missed dearly. xoxoxoxo

PS This magnet in the photo is one a complete stranger in Calif handed to Rick and Teresa after she bought it that day, for a reason she did not was on our way home from picking up Daylons possessions in San Diego.. (its a good story and I have more if you ever want to hear it)

Dear Talya, Briana, & Angie.
I’m very sorry for the loss of your mom!
I will always remember your mom as a beautiful, strong, independent, domestic woman. You three were so blessed to be given such a wonderful example of a woman. Even more blessed to have her as your mom!!

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. At one time she was my daughter in law and I enjoyed talking and seeing her. I will miss our talks and friendship.
