December 28, 1953 – October 11, 2020
Norma Silalahi was born in Kaban Jahe, North Sumatra, Indonesia on December 28th, 1953. She was the sixth child of couple Djairing Marsius Silalahi and Kesia Sitompul. She spent most of her life in Jakarta, Indonesia, where she got married, had her own business while also raising two daughters, Rouli Willow (née Nasution) and Vitri Reeves (née Nasution). Both of her daughters first came to the United States to study and then decided to have their own family in the state. Norma had been back and forth living between Indonesia and the USA since 2004.
Norma had a long history of diabetes and cardiac disease. After many surgeries and treatments, Norma Silalahi finally rested in peace on Sunday, October 11th, 2020 by the age of 66 at Providence St. Vincent, Portland Oregon. Norma Silalahi was a devoted Christian and truly believed in Christ as her savior. She had surrendered everything to Jesus as he welcomed her into his kingdom.
Besides her beloved two daughters, she is also survived by her older sister, two younger brothers, and lots of nephews and nieces. She will be missed dearly by her sons in-law, Joshua Willow and James Reeves, and her granddaughters, Kayla Willow, Arielle Willow and Aiyanna Reeves.
Please join the family to remember and pray for Norma Silalahi. The memory service will be held on Monday October 19th, 2020 at 11AM live streaming from Facebook Live https://www.facebook.com/FinleySunsetHills/
