At the early age of six, his family moved up north to Spokane, Washington where his grandmother, Viola Tannerhill and brother, James and Pearl Thompson were living. They resided there for several years until Otis's mother, Virginia Lee decided to make a change and move to Portland, Oregon and married Nathaniel Smith.
Otis attended Jefferson High school and found many friendships including Charles "Tuna", Wesley, Larry, Bishop Pollard, Bishop Mullen and too many others to mention. But his friend to the end was Gerald Marshall. Otis took many turns, children, jobs, military service, marriage, etc., but the most eventful was when he left his worldly ways and gave his life to Christ and never went back!
Even in his last days here on earth he had and did deliver a word of God to everyone that would hear. Praise God for this man of God and his work for the Lord which will always be remembered and well-spoken of. Amen!
He was preceded in death by mother, Virginia Smith and her husband, Nathaniel Smith; sister, Ethel Dickerson; brothers, James Thompson (Pearl) and Dwyane Thompson (Michael); grandmother, Viola Tannerhill; grandson, Tylone Tolliver; and son, Quintrell Holliman.
