Life-long Portland area resident Pat Berg, age 92, peacefully passed away at home on Wednesday, May 31 with her children by her side. She was born February 11, 1925 to William and Netta Geil and attended Milwaukie High School, University of Oregon and Portland State University.
In 1945, Pat married Dr. Arthur W. Berg, who practiced internal medicine in Portland. Pat and Art raised three children. Pat owned and ran (with others) the antique shop Second Hand Rose for 25 years. She was a volunteer at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry for many years and performed volunteer work with the Girl Scouts and the Bridlemile School PTA.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents and brother, by her husband Art in 1992 and by her daughter Carol in 1996. Survivors include daughter Pamela, son William, daughter-in-law Kathleen, son-in-law Roy Farwell and grandchildren James Farwell and Kiely, Emily and Thomas Berg.
At Pat’s request, there will be no service. Remembrances to Terwilliger Plaza Foundation or other charity.
